Having cold blood suggests doing actions with no emotions. The absence of empathy is dangerous not only to yourself but to the people that surround you. It hinders a Christian life from submitting into the word of God, for his blood has run cold, far from the light that’s shedding on his soul. As God’s follower, keeping His love burning within us must be kept forever to heal the ones who are frozen with anger, greed, grudge, and envy. 

Sinfulness and negligence of spiritual healing contribute to having a cold blood that forgets to know God and His presence in one’s life. Christian believers must remain firm in their beliefs and light the fire of hope within them at all times. 

If you’re starting to feel hard-hearted and emotionless, seek God’s guiding light and you will realize how wonderful it is to live with Him in the middle of all your life battles. He will not let you drown yourself in the ocean of sinful acts, lies, and deceitfulness.  He will be your life vest and your steering wheel that will bring back your hope to sail and go with the waves of life. Through Him, you can have your gentle heart back. 

Spend Time in Getting to Know the Lord

One sign that you are soaring away from the light is your refusal to read His words that come with unreasonable excuses. Your blood will run cold if you won’t warm yourself with His earnest touch that saves you from committing sins. Neglecting His commands can come from an upsetting situation where you felt you were being neglected by Him, or you have a certain desire that wasn’t fulfilled. However, if you would only spend some of your time getting to know Him, you will better understand His ways and realize that He is only doing things because He knows what’s best for you.

Proverbs 30:5 states, “Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in Him.” When doubt seems to overpower your mind, go back to the bible and read what He promised to His believers. His words will be your guide in maintaining a patient and grateful heart at all times. Through this, you will be saved from having a cold blood that has the potential to ruin your life and your belief. 

Communicate to God Better

Another important habit to practice is to always pray to God regardless of your situation. As a faithful Christian follower, you should not just run to Him when you have problems. Don’t forget to glorify His name when you are at the peak of celebrating your success and victories in life. Constant communication with Him will hinder your heart from becoming cold and empty of emotions. He will never make you feel alone and abandoned no matter how bruised and unworthy you think you are. 

Romans 8:26 tells you, “In the same way, the Spirit comes to help our weakness. We don’t know what we should pray, but the Spirit himself pleads our case with unexpressed groans.” You don’t need to clearly express what you want for the Lord to hear you. He can see the pain from your tears, the exhaustion from your breath, and the need for help from your eyes. What you just need to do is replenish your soul through communication and by reaching out to Him any time.  

Visit the Church and Listen to the Gospel

For a healthy Christian believer, receiving God’s message can fulfill a longing soul and soften the hardest heart. Being faithful to the church and religious practices draws you nearer to God and gives you a foretaste of heaven. If you can easily trade the Lord’s Day to something else, then you need to evaluate if your blood is running cold or you just need to be enlightened with His words once again. 

God doesn’t want you to suffer from an emotionless form of living. A wonderful Christian living is someone who is willing to be kind and show sympathy towards others regardless of how harsh the world is around. That is what faithfulness to the Lord looks like—someone who embodies God’s image and righteousness despite trying times.

Being cold-blooded is a sign for you to examine what part of Christian doctrines you have failed to follow. If you are aware of your actions, you will know how to handle situations in a way that won’t affect your sentiments in spite of unfavorable happenings. God doesn’t want you to change your soul into someone you are not. Problems do pass—you just need to believe that He won’t leave you in darkness no matter how heavy the depravities you have done.
