Your Lords Message For Today

You were never created to live depressed, defeated, guilty, condemned, ashamed or unworthy. You were created to be victorious.

You were never created to live depressed, defeated, guilty, condemned, ashamed or unworthy. You were created to be victorious.

God has given His followers free will in order to enjoy the life He has given to us while He resides within us. By that, it is expected that believers of Christ should choose to always abide by what’s righteous in the eyes of God.

Life is filled with raging troubles and unexpected challenges that can either break you, change you, or help you grow. Addictions and temptations are two of the most toxic things that are hard to resist. When one becomes fully consumed by it, the person becomes distant to the Holy Presence of the Lord, and will eventually fail to do what he is ought to do in this world. Worst case scenario is losing your purpose and meaning as God’s stewards.

However, as dark as it may seem to deal with, as a devoted Christian, you need to fight your demons and enlighten your mind and soul with the right course of action to take. Whenever you feel outcast, doomed, and despairing, know that though God, your recovery can be made possible. He will not allow His children to get lost in life. If you call upon His name in darkness, His light will shine upon your way.

God is Every Christian’s Best Weapon

Since God has given us the freedom to choose what path we decide to take, it is also our responsibility to accept the consequences that lie behind it. You may regret things in the end and go through a lot of suffering, but one thing’s for sure—God will never let you go through it alone.  Corinthians 20:13 wants to remind you that, “No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide a way of escape, that you may be able to endure.”

The good thing about challenges is the lessons that mold your perspectives about life. Overcoming certain habits and immoral indulgences takes a lot of courage to fight on, but a Christian believer who has God with him will surpass anything that’s thrown at him.

A Strong Prayer Delivers Fast Recovery

When being yielded into sinful behaviors distort your moral compass, the first thing you can do is kneel before the Lord and pray. Pray that He may realign your scale and walk through the right path again. Humble yourself and acknowledge that you are a sinner who yearns for recovery. When your track seems off and tainted, remember what God said in James 5:15-16, “And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”

God hears everyone who needs His help. Recovery is essential if you desire a meaningful life that is near to God. Declare all your sins to the Lord and He will heal your soul from the wounds that’s scarring your faith and holiness.

Invest in a Wholesome Circle

Recovery is useless if you are surrounded by the kind of people that are unhealthy and toxic for your health and mentality. You cannot reason out the pressure from friends upon doing prohibited things, because you chose them to be a part of your circle in the first place. Sometimes, even if you have God within you, you are still feeling empty and lonely because the people around you are making you feel alone and unmotivated. Seek God’s Holy presence in order to guide you upon choosing your companions. As what 1 Corinthians 15:33 implies, “Do not be misled: Bad company corrupts good character.”

Even if you’re doing your best to see God’s enlightenment, if your brethren are blinding your eyes, then you cannot totally see His message towards you. As early as now, start investing a wholesome circle of friends and you will notice how fast your recovery from bad habits will be.

Today Tip of the Day

Recovery process is a gradual step for someone who has been lost for a while. It takes immense effort, reassurance, guidance, and renewed insights for one to slowly recover and improve. To live a life that is free from unwanted circumstances, you must pursue a wonderful Christian living by walking into the path that God has prepared for you.  It’s okay to make a stopover and reflect on the journey, but never allow yourself to go into a crooked direction that is disrespectful in the eyes of God.
