Your Lords Message For Today

To succeed, you need to find something to hold on to, something to motivate you, something to inspire you.

To succeed, you need to find something to hold on to, something to motivate you, something to inspire you.

Everyone wants to come home to a beautiful shelter that provides them security and peace. Though some are not really given the chance to do so, there are those risk takers who would choose to obtain a house through a mortgage. A mortgage is a legal agreement where someone can buy a property by borrowing money from a lender. Since some houses are really expensive for one to afford. They resort to another alternative which is the mortgage.

Shelter is one of the basic needs of an individual that allows them to feel safe and comfortable. As a Christian steward, you are ought to protect and give security to your loved ones just as God would shield you from the harmful elements. However, there’s a fine line between necessity and luxury. Purchasing a house is good as long as you acquire one based on your living status and affordability.

Before you make a decision about getting a house, seek God’s guidance and be mindful of His response. Sometimes, you can make vacillating plans that may not produce a likely result and can potentially harm you and your family’s living in the future.

Protect God’s Given Resources

God has given each and everyone different resources that can be used for sustenance. As His steward, you need to take care and be careful about growing and handling it, instead of using it for something that doesn’t really bring you any good. Don’t let all your money get tied up on debts, especially if you don’t have a booming career yet. Think about the future happenings that may come that would require you to use the little resources left for you to use.

Luke 16:10 declares, “One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.” Stay faithful to what God has given you instead of dreaming for something you cannot really achieve yet. You will not just drown yourself in debts, but will also put your family’s comfort at risk.

Consider the Future in Your Every Decisions

One common mistake that people make is that taking a mortgage will not affect their current life and the future that’s coming. As a Christian, it is not favorable to do something out of your own will today and rely your future on God. You have to prepare yourself and do a smart evaluation whether your current status can suffice the mortgage in the long run. James 4:14-15 reminds you, “Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, ‘If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.’”

Do not depend on your debts for your job at the moment. Unexpected things happen and you may find yourself losing your current job. Worst thing is you might get sick and unable to provide for the other necessities anymore.

Be Patient with the Lord’s Timing

There will be instances where taking a mortgage seems to be the only option you have. You may feel financially okay right now and think about what you can afford. As a faithful believer of Christ, the best course of action to take is to be patient and wait for His perfect timing. His plans are greater than yours, and He will give you the right home that is meant for you at the right time. It might be tempting to get one if you can see that your friends are already living in a nice home, but doing so just because of envy and pressure is not the right thing to consider.

Psalm 145:14-19 proclaims, “The Lord upholds all who are falling and raises up all who are bowed down. The eyes of all look to you and you give them their food in due season. You open your hand; you satisfy the desire of every living thing. The Lord is righteous in all His ways and kind.” Trust God’s promise for you and He will provide you with the resources you need. You will never know; he may have another setup for you that doesn’t require you to indebt yourself and pay for it for years and years.

Today Tip of the Day

Any decision you make, be it big or small, that puts your life at risk should be discussed with God first before you give it a go. If you include Him in your every plan, you will reach success in time and prevent uncertain circumstances from depriving your life. Before you shelter yourself with a nice home, shelter yourself in God first and seek His divine presence. Through Him, you can never go wrong in life.
