Your Lords Message For Today

For whoever would love life and see good days must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech.

For whoever would love life and see good days must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech.

Talking about cleaning up, the first thing that comes to your mind is picking up your mess and transforming your chaos into something better. In everyday life, cleaning up becomes an initiative at the thought of making yourself look presentable in front of the people. However, having Jesus as the center of your every action will lead you to a humble beginning and victorious end. He will guide your ways and actions that will lead you to His kingdom in heaven.

Part of Christian living is accepting the Lord as the ultimate Savior. If you accept Him in your life, you will initiate the necessary changes that are needed for you to be better. You don't need to establish more desirable habits or do good things to other people to prove something—all you need to do is open your heart for Jesus. If you believe in His greatness, your inner being will renew itself for His glory.

Cleanup Your Mind, Body, and Soul

Jesus doesn't care about your outside appearance. As a Christian believer, you ought to care for what the Lord desires to see more than what other people want to see. At the end of the day, it is God who will judge your earthly deeds, not someone else. As what He said in Matthew 23:25-27, “Clean the inside of the cup so the outside would be clean as well.” Live a life that is free from toxicity and immorality. As early as now, make it a habit to slowly pilot yourself away from things that's only causing you to sin. God cares about your intentions, so make it as pure as possible.

How you think may affect how you act in certain ways. Free your mind from malice and start embodying righteousness just as God wants you to be. Present yourself to God with a renewed mind, body, and soul. Let your inner beauty shine through the outside, and not the other way around.

Speak Your Tongue Softly

Guard your mouth from telling lies, condescending people, and castigating the sinner. Only God knows what their heart speaks and what kind of relationship they built with Him. It is useless to preach His word while bad mouthing others for He sees everyone equally and fairly. For a Christian, cleaning up means cleansing of words not just of deeds. Let your voice inspire others rather than cause them torment. Words can hurt deeply and the scar you've left may not be healed. How calm and sincere you talk to God should remain the same when you talk to common people.

1 Peter 3:10 states, “For whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit.” God wants you to guard your mouth and keep it clean from evilness. If you obey His words, your life will be filled with uprightness and meaning. If you allow Him to dwell in your spirit, your words will be replaced with kindness and humility.

Recognize Jesus as Your God and Change Your Ways

In everything you do, remember to recognize Jesus as Your God before committing to necessary changes. Genuine transformations are only achieved if you have God within you. The faith you have for Him will be your motivation to do good and live according to His commands.

Whenever you decide to clean up your surroundings, make sure you are ought to maintain it. Cleaning up and then going back to your dirty habits will make it futile and meaningless. Every change in your life must be seen as a turning point for you to improve for good and continue searching for ways to foster in God’s glory.

As what Philippians 3:21 declares, “But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior. He will take our weak mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies like his own, using the same power with which he will bring everything under his control.” Aim to change yourself into someone better while waiting for God’s coming. When He enters your life, you will be renewed and prepared to accept His glory as a true Christian believer. Only then you can see the result of your obedience and faith to His commands.

Today Tip of the Day

Whenever you decide to clean something from your life, make it a habit rather than just a temporary practice. God can see your persistence and will to follow Him no matter how small the steps you’re taking. Nurturing His presence in your human form is a lifetime commitment that will direct your route to a wonderful paradise that awaits you in His kingdom.
