Your Lords Message For Today

Are you devil’s attorney or God’s ambassador

Are you devil’s attorney or God’s ambassador

And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. Revelation 12:10, KJV

Who is the devil?

We read in the Bible that the devil is the fallen angel of light, that is, Lucifer. The Lord says that he fell like lightning from heaven. He is the first rebel and the first among the fallen angels who did not want to continue living according to the Will of God. In the verse above, we see that one of many devil's names is the accuser.

He wanted to attribute his bad qualities to the Creator full of love. So he deceived the angels, and he deceived people. He made them doubt God's word and lose faith in His goodness. Because God is a God of justice and incomparable supremacy, the devil led them to consider Him strict and ruthless. As soon as one-third of angels rejected the Will of God, they immediately fell from heaven and lost their high position. They wanted to be equal with God. Fallen angels also lost their beauty and became monsters. There is nothing good, kind, loving, righteous, and true after the fall.

The devil suddenly became an absolute instrument of darkness, hatred, deception, and evil because of his opposition to God. He will forever remain in the darkness. The devil especially attacks a man who is trying to unite with God.

On the other hand, God is all-loving, all-merciful, all-forgiving, and the absolute good. God showed His love on the cross. Our Lord and Savior want the best for us. Based on this evil/good compartment, are you devil’s attorney or God’s ambassador? Almost everyone would say that they are the children of God and they are not the devil’s attorney, but their actions show different.

The devil’s attorney

In the Catholic church, the main goal of the devil’s attorney was to gather all possible arguments that could interfere with the canonization of a potential saint. In other words, to stop the canonization. In the modern everyday world, the devil’s attorney is an expression used for a person that wants to stop something. That person is trying to find every possible argument to stop something good. In particular, such arguments are a selfish motive and are not doing good deeds.  It is a passionate fact that the concept of the devil's attorney has been adopted in the church. Many large firms use this approach to test their ideas for strength before launching them into business. The devil attorney in a person who is trying to disagree akts as an accuser and the people around.

Now, try to remember when you are in a team or group of people do you help others or try to sabotage the work? Every once in and while we are tempted by our human nature to act selfishly. In everyday life, many people use this mandate as a preliminary apology for a subsequent contradiction and possibly an insulting statement.  In a company or corporation, people who often try this role can make very irritating signs. But these are the ones who can list existing problems promptly and push a way to solve them. The term devil’s attorney has a negative connotation, for sure.

God’s ambassador

However, if you are God's ambassador, then your job is to spread the good dead and the word of God. The task is to present materials and information that confirm the positive qualities. The word apostle is translated from Greek as messenger or ambassador. Concerning the Christian belief, such a person acts as an ambassador of the new faith. My prayer with you today is that your thoughts, heart, and soul and no longer part of destructive religion but be Christ's follower, messenger, and ambassador of His word.

When you are in a group of people or teamwork, try to see the good in everyone and try to carry on the good work. The worst time the world has ever seen is coming soon to strike humanity that has no doubts. That is why we must be good in the world every day. We, the children of the Lord are called to show the love of God by the support and selfless giving. The professed Christians of this world will continue to strive desperately to bring the Kingdom of God and achieve world peace through human efforts. It is the most privileged duty to be God's ambassador. Will you fulfill (realize) your great potential?

The choice is always yours

This is the oldest story in the book. The story between good and evil. Devil presents himself in various forms and uses methods different to do evil. God has one form, and He is the absolute good.  Won't you be nice when you do well? And when you don't do good, the sin is at the door. When there is a sin, there is always lucifer. God gives us the freedom to choose, and the choice is always ours.

The verse above is from the book of Revelation. Apostol John is the author of that book. John said that heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God and the power of his Christ. It means that the day of salvation is today and the day when you make a choice are you God's messenger or the attorney for the devil. The last part of the verse is a bit prophetic because it said that the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.  God already won all of the battles. The devil has no power over you unless you give him. For me, the choice is obvious, how about you?
