Your Lords Message For Today

Nothing beats a person who has Christ in His life.

Nothing beats a person who has Christ in His life.

As much as Jesus wants to enter your Christian life and live within your soul, He can only come in if you open the door and host His arrival. Hosting Jesus needs your unwavering faith and full acceptance of Him. When He knocks on your door, open it and let Him dine with you. Just like how you would normally treat a guest who visits your house, He also deserves your hospitality and acknowledgment. A welcoming Christian will receive the bountiful blessings of the Lord, which will manifest in his deeds.

Nothing beats a person who has Christ in His life. If He lives in your heart, you will never be misguided to crooked paths and misleading endeavors. Draw yourself nearer to Him and allow Him to mend your heart and make it like His.

Living in One with God

God wants to live in a heart that's fully accepting of His presence. Jesus stated in John 14:23, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word, and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.” Hosting Him means you love Him with all your heart and your soul is ready to follow His will and live righteously. That kind of love will allow you to know Him more and be astonished with His power and the intensity of His desire to be with His children.

To host God means you are willing to prioritize what pleases Him over yours. To host Him means you are willing to sacrifice human earthy desires for His words. Worshipping Him will grant you eternal life and peace that will make your daily living free from fear, doubts, worries, and problems.  A life with Him is a life filled with tranquility and calmness.

Cultivate Self-Discipline

You can be credible enough to host God if you are disciplined to resist wicked temptations and habits around you. God enters a heart that is pure and free from maliciousness. Call upon His name in whatever you do to guide your actions and navigate your direction away from the dark influences. Being disciplined signifies your reverence to yourself as his follower, and to Him as the Superior Being.

Hebrews 12:7-8 says, “It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline? If you are left without discipline, in which all have participated, then you are illegitimate children and not sons.” If you acknowledge God as your Father, then hosting Him requires you to fully submit yourself to His commands and turn from your wicked ways. You cannot be His child if you refuse to be educated by His words, for He cares so much about you and He would do anything for you to restore yourself under His mercy. He disciplines us so we may be able to live with composure and share His holiness.

Invite His Presence Through Your Faith

Hebrews 11:6 declares, “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” The very purpose of inviting Jesus in your life is the fact that you wholehearted believe in his existence and power. As His steward, you should leave no reluctances in your hearts and have confidence that you belong to Him and will inherit His kingdom in heaven. Do not do it for the sake of recompense, but because of your respect to His presence as the God of all Hosts.

One day you will be facing Jesus, and all your deeds here on earth will be judged one by one. Make sure that the good outweighs the bad as a proof of your devotion to His name. Your faith towards Him will serve as your guide to His coming.

Today Tip of the Day

Jesus will knock on your door one day, and you will not know it unless you recognize His image beforehand. That’s why it is important to be kind and welcoming to strangers who need your help, for you can only notice God if you embody His righteousness. He lives in all of us, and it is easy to see who He is if you can see it reflecting in your deeds as a Christian believer.

If you wish to host him one day, prepare yourself for his coming by nurturing your home with a godly ambiance that glorifies Him. If your environment is filled with hope, love, wisdom, and devotion, He will surely make His way through your home and your soul.
