How and why should we pray? There are four stages of prayer.
The first step of physical prayer is standing, reading, and worship. The second step is when words are connected with the mind. The third stage is when every expression of prayer, echoes, not only in the mind but also in the heart. For example, if a prayer is a request, then you should feel a strong desire in the heart. But, only if it is God’s will. The fourth step is prayer without words, standing before the Lord in peace and complete devotion to Him. Always pray as the Lord is watching and listening to you. When you feel something in your heart during prayer, catch it, and stick to it, and stand in it.
God asked us to pray constantly. We can pray in need. It doesn’t matter if it’s a business need, a financial need, a family need, medical need we should always come to God first. Not every prayer is answered, but never the less we must keep praying. God, our Heavenly Father, loves everyone more than any earthly father loves his child. And in His love is the key to understanding the secret of why one prayer is fulfilled and another is not. Once men’s will agree with God’s will, God fulfills our prayer.
A bird is a bird if it flies. A flower is a flower if it blooms. A man is a man if he prays. One definition of prayer is: Prayer is the breathing of the soul. Exactly as breathing is essential for human life, so is prayer necessary for human spiritual growth. He who no longer breathes is dead; he who no longer prays, his faith is dead. The most common prayer among believers is a prayer for medical needs. We pray for our health, but we also pray for other people's health.
Most Christians have a strong belief in the authority to act in God’s name on the earth. They will frequently request blessings from the Elders of the Church when they become ill or have other medical needs. We should be praying for our brothers/sisters' health even before they used us to. We should ask God to bless the lives and work of those who work so hard to take care of us in our medical needs.
There are online prayer services and different websites that offer to pray for you 24/7. Most of them also offer anonymity so you would feel more conmfortable.
This is a difficult time for everyone and covid-19 didn't make it easy. We are praying for all who have contracted Covid-19, for care and healing, for strength, courage, and hope. Also, for those who are particularly weak, the elderly, and anyone with another serious condition, and other medical needs we pray for safety and protection. We should especially remember to pray for the urgent medical needs of people and hospitals. For example, my church always has at least one person who is available for urgent praying.
We need to pray alone in our room and the community of the “people of God” in the church! In every situation and every place because we need God’s guidance and help. Without Him, we are nobody; and we can do nothing. Therefore, as Lord Jesus said, always pray.
God loves us, and we love God with all of our hearts. Above all, He showed that love on the cross. He gave us the right to call him a Heavenly Father. So, we are His children, and we can always talk to Him. Prayer is communication with God. In other words, pray without resting. To clarify, true Christians begin, follow, and end all their daily activities with prayer.
In short, prayer is an open line with God 24/7, use it!
Health is a condition of physical, psychic, social, and most importantly spiritual well-being. God is our greatest and best doctor because He heals us with his holy blood and listens to our medical needs. Then the people in the ministry who pray for us, as well as we who pray for other people and ourselves. If we were to expand that list of people who help us a little more, we would need to include the wide range of health professionals that God uses to meet the medical needs of ourselves, family, and friends.
I have one final word for Christians who serve in the field of medicine. God has placed you right where to help others, and to best glorify Him. Remember that God is the Great Physician, and you are His healing hands. His power to heal can flow through you to others in effective ways. So, let's all put all of our needs (business, financial, family need, medical need) into God's hands. It is the safest place in the world. God said to renew our strength like an eagle, and we believe in every word of His! Our prayers and thoughts are with Him.
As Doctor Martin Luther said, “I have held many things in my hands, and I have lost them all, but whatever I placed in God’s hands that I still possess.” we should put everything in God’s hands. Pray for His guidance and will in our lives. He is an All-powerful and All-mighty God who knows everything from the beginning until the end of time.
