As a person with ambitions and aspirations in life, having the privilege to study and finish it is a lifelong achievement because for years, you have finally reaped the fruits of your labor. Getting a degree of your choice indicates your life direction and future career foresight. Who would not want a brighter future in the first place? Who wouldn’t want to be successful? Most Christians would suggest to embody contentment of anything, but God doesn’t actually want you to stay on something if it doesn’t really contribute to your prosperity.
God wants you to work hard on your degree in the intention of glorifying His name and using it for greater good. A single paper can give you a lot of opportunities in life, but do not forget what God truly wants for you: a heart that works in righteousness.
Remember that any institution is just a learning place for you to be ready and more knowledgeable about the realities of life. Your goal is to get out of there with an intellect that builds other people, and not think about being on a higher level over them. Hence, it is important that you instill in your mind to do things in accordance to God’s will and commands, and not just for your own sake.
As you journey your way through the different levels of education, bear in mind for whom you are offering your hard work in getting that degree. It doesn’t matter what field of study you want to choose, as long as you use it for righteousness and obtain it with integrity. Do not let the pressure of academe take your time away from God. If you will prioritize Him over anything else, He will make your journey even more meaningful. You won’t just earn a degree but also inherit God’s kingdom in heaven.
In everything you do, offer it all to God with no hesitations. He has given you the gift of knowledge and skills, so you should make use of it by being faithful to His commands. Failing your class doesn’t mean failing Jesus. But if you fail because of laziness and negligence to learn, then how can you expect to serve a Higher Being if you can’t follow the commands of a single institution. If you have God within you, you will never face failures alone without a sight of an upcoming success that awaits you.
For someone to earn a certain degree and prosper in life, it is important to use that power and credibility to educate others about God and the things that truly lie significance both on heaven and earth. As Christ’s loyal follower, you must not condescend those who are less knowledgeable about things in order to raise yourself on high. Only God has the right to raise you up from the low. Let His works shine upon you by doing something good. It is not godly to think high of yourself while critically looking at other people.
Matthew 16:26 states, “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?” God wants to remind you to use your degree with nobleness, humility, and a heart that serves Him with no ambiguity.
The degree you earn from studying gives you credibility, which allows you to walk with sufficient learning, aptitudes, and talents. Those things are wonderfully given to you because God believes in your ability to foster and use it for His greater glory. He is preparing you to walk with Him and not over Him. He is the highest degree you can have in life if you study His words and share His gospel to the uneducated.
Ephesians 2:10 declares, “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them,” God will guide and steer your direction into a certain career that will prepare you to serve Him. If you refuse to acknowledge that mission, He will redirect your path into something else.
It is righteous to submit the percentiles you have achieved to God—to someone who knows what you’re made of. Serve the Lord joyfully and with no reservations, and He will bless your life with something great and profound. If you commit all your hard work to Him, all your plans will be established. Repulse the idolatrous qualms of your heart and travel the road that directs you to Him. Your degree is a good asset when it comes to career opportunities and the like, but your human deeds are what will save you in the end.
