Your Lords Message For Today

Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble.

Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble.

The society is divided by classes which tends to separate those who belong to the borderline, and those who are in the higher part of the pyramid. However, what people must not forget is the connection that binds them together, because the Lord is the Maker of them all. That no matter how thick the borders are that separates every individual, God still sees all of them as one.

Poverty is a huge factor of why many poor people are near to Christ. The challenges they’re facing every single day are not easy to deal with, yet they still manage to sustain themselves and remain grateful to God’s blessings. On the other hand, wealthy people are getting all the riches of the world, but are poor in spirit. The problem that lies in between is when they forget to help the needy and care for the homeless while they’re indulging their earthly treasures. Rich people see no reason to call upon Jesus because they think they already have it all.

Now, imagine a world with all people having similar social classes and status. Majority will fully neglect the presence of the Lord and disregard humility. Christians believe that the standing of every individual is the only thing that matters to God when the final judgment arrives. At the end of the day, none of the material things will be able to save a soul.

Social Disparity Reminds People About God

A world without humility and charity is either chaotic or ruthless. What makes a person resilient and strong are the presence of daily life struggles and fight for survival. God wants His followers to work hard and earn the graces He has showered around us. Nothing great is obtained fast and easy. If people will strive for advancement, they will also value every sweat that’s poured onto their hard work. That is where humility will prevail. The thought of having to experience the sufferings of nothingness makes an individual humble and humane.

If the world is full of people who belong to one class alone, people will forget to follow the divine law and focus on outweighing their competitors. There’s a reason why people have to live differently in life. It is not just centered on capitalism, but also on God’s way of telling everyone to teach each other meaningful lessons about what it’s like to be up there or below.

Classes Determine Every Christians Ability to Live Harmoniously

Romans 12:16 states, “Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with other people of low position. Do not be conceited.” God wants to remind His followers that despite the presence of classism, the essence of respect and camaraderie must still live within every heart. Differences in economic status, race, personalities, education, and culture must not become a hindrance for everyone to live peacefully and harmoniously.

God wants to see one and all to praise His name regardless of the disparity, because through Him, unity can be possible. His words are the only language that everyone can speak of. A social class without God will be left in chaos and disorder. But if each individual will live according to His will, the discrepancy that was set in between will become a blessing in disguise rather than a deterrent.

Come Together in Christ

He reminded us in Acts 2:42-47, “And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had needed. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts.”

It may seem hard to interact with different people, Christians must learn how to overcome the barrier that distances themselves from others. After all, everyone is ought to worship one God forever. Giving up on building a relationship with others is like giving up on God. God wants every part of every class to come together in His name instead of being divided and far from each other.

Today Tip of the Day

Classism is not an enemy but a challenge of God to His people. Remember, only the living situations are different, but how one should worship and follow His commands will stay the same and similar for everyone. Classes are not a burden for proper communication and togetherness. The goal to prosper while praising one God is rooted in each individual’s willpower to live under His divine will. Despite everything, always choose what’s in favor of God.
